Southern Texas PGA Takes the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches for the First Time

Willow Park, TX - The Southern Texas PGA captured the 4th Annual Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches by an overall point total of 15.5 to 8.5. They took a one-point lead heading into the Singles Matches, needing four additional points after day one to capture the Ben Hogan Junior Cup.

The overall team records going into these Matches were 3-0-0 NTPGA and 0-3-0 STPGA. They now stand at 3-1-0 NTPGA and 1-3-0 STPGA.

The Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches is a Ryder Cup style format that features 12 junior golfers from each Tour competing in 18-hole Four-Ball and 9-hole Foursome (Alternate Shot) Matches the first day, followed by 18-hole Singles Matches the final day. The historic Shady Oaks Country Club is the permanent host to the Matches; however, the golf course will be undergoing renovations during this year’s event. Squaw Creek Golf Course hosted in 2019 thanks to their partnership with Shady Oaks Country Club.
