The driving range at Brookhaven Country Club is currently under contstruction and players will not be able to hit range balls at Brookhaven Country Club on the morning of the Metro Area Championship.
As a result, all players will have access to range balls at Marsh Lane Golf Center prior to their starting time at no cost. Marsh Lane Golf Center is located just minutes away from Brookhaven Country Club, and will open at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 11. A member of the NTPGA team will be on site to greet all players and answer any questions.
Please see below for information on Marsh Lane Golf Center. Please be on site at Brookhaven 30 minutes prior to your tee time to check in and receive your tee gifts.

ELIGIBILITY:
2008 Members of the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation who have a first place finish or tie in a 2008 Metro Ewing Automotive GMC Medalist Tour event, Ewing Autohaus Mercedes-Benz Masters Tour event or Ewing Automotive Buick Prep Tour event (Coed 7-9, Boys 10-11, Girls 10-11 only). In addition, any member who is in the top fifteen (15) on the Player of Year Points List in the above listed tour levels who is not otherwise exempt will receive an exemption in the Ewing Automotive Metro Area Championship.
AGE DIVISIONS:
Coed 7-9; Girls 10-11; Boys 10-11; Boys 12-13; Boys 14-15; Boys 16-18; Girls 12-14 and Girls 15-18. Players must compete in the age group that represents their age as of August 11, 2008 unless they have “declared up” for the season.
FORMAT:
18-hole stroke play tournament for players ages 12-18; 9-hole stroke play tournament for players ages 7-11. Players’ ages 12-18 will be competing on Brookhaven CC – Masters and players ages 7-11 will be competing on Brookhaven CC – Presidents.
ENTRY FEE:
$75.00. Tournament entry fee includes green fees, range balls, tee gifts and lunch following play.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
Friday, August 8 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. Online sign up is also available at http://juniorgolf.ntpga.org.
REFUNDS:
All refund requests must be made prior to the entry deadline, after which refunds will not be granted. NOTE: A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged should a player withdraw from the event.
STARTING TIMES:
Starting times and groupings will be emailed out to all players by the Northern Texas PGA. Starting times will also be available by calling Brookhaven Country Club or check http://juniorgolf.ntpga.org after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9.
DRESS CODE:
Proper golf attire is required of all contestants during the Ewing Automotive Metro Area Championship. Contestants shall present a neat appearance, appropriate to the game of golf. Denim clothing shall not be worn at the tournament site. Bermuda length shorts are permitted. Dress code will be strictly enforced. Please review the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation dress code policy in the 2008 Member Handbook available at http://juniorgolf.ntpga.org.
MEASURING DEVICES:
The use of distance measuring devices will NOT be permitted during the Ewing Automotive Metro Area Championship.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Practice rounds will not be made available to contestants prior to the tournament as Brookhaven Country Club is a private facility. Please DO NOT call to schedule a practice round.
EXEMPTIONS:
The top five finishers and ties from each age division of the Ewing Automotive Metro Area Championship will receive an invitation to the Ewing Automotive Tour Championship to be held at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney on August 18-19.
